Islamabad ( WNAM MONITORING): The first World Championship for Akhal-Teke horses will be held in the Netherlands from September 4 to 6, 2026, bringing together equestrian experts, horse breeders, researchers and horse enthusiasts from around the world.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan and the Office of the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad have invited interested participants to register with the organizing committee to take part in the championship and its related events.
The event will showcase the Akhal-Teke horse, a breed renowned for its distinctive appearance, endurance and long association with Turkmenistan’s cultural heritage.
According to the organizers, the championship is being designed as an international platform for professionals and enthusiasts involved in horse breeding, equestrian sports and research to exchange knowledge and promote the breed globally.
The organizers have also released information materials, brochures and visual content about the championship and encouraged interested participants from different countries to join the event.
The championship is expected to provide an opportunity for breeders, experts and horse enthusiasts to share expertise and further international cooperation surrounding the Akhal-Teke breed.
