WNAM REPORT: At the invitation of the Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is paying an official visit to China.
During the visit, bilateral meetings were held between delegations led by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Aziz Toshpulatov, and the Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Wang Xiaohong.
The parties agreed to consistently continue the implementation of the “roadmap” for 2026-2027 between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC, and to further develop cooperation within the “Central Asia – China” format.
During the meeting, the contribution of the Chinese government and the Ministry of Public Security to strengthening the material and technical resources of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan was highly praised.
It was noted that the Center for Innovative Education at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs plays a crucial role in training specialists with modern knowledge and skills for the sector.
The meeting focused on further strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, illicit drug trafficking, and organized and other forms of transnational crime.
The exchange of best practices in cybersecurity and digital forensics, as well as the expansion of practical cooperation between law enforcement agencies, were also discussed.
Views were exchanged on developing cooperation in the fields of biometric identification, modern forensic technologies, police aviation, and the use of drones.
At the meeting, which took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, important tasks were defined for developing cooperation in the many areas mentioned above.
