WNAM REPORT: The Russian Ministry of Defense has issued a statement regarding the drone attack on Ukraine last night.
The statement indicated that the attacks targeted data processing centers belonging to “UkrTelekom” and “DreamLine” companies in the capital Kyiv, noting that UkrTelekom provides fixed and mobile communication and high-speed internet services to the Ukrainian army, while DreamLine provides high-speed internet services as well as services for storing intelligence data.
The statement said that fuel infrastructure used to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army was targeted in Kyiv, and that infrastructure and some facilities at the military airfield in Vasylkiv, in the Kyiv region, were also hit.
The statement noted that the “Nova Poşta” logistics center in Odessa, where military cargo is stored, was targeted, and a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment and dual-use cargo was struck in the Chornomorsk Port. It further stated, “The infrastructure of the ‘Dunaysudoservis’ shipyard in Izmail Port, where ships are repaired and modernized and patrol boats are maintained and converted, was targeted. A permanent deployment point of a unit of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service was also hit on the shipyard premises.”
The statement noted that the target was a cargo ship allegedly carrying military cargo to the Port of Odessa while at sea.
