WNAM REPORT: The Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Simone Giger to discuss ways to expand cooperation between the two countries in the digital sphere.
The parties exchanged views on implementing joint projects in artificial intelligence, innovation, investment, and scientific research. The sides also discussed transformation processes, information technology, and opportunities for startups in Uzbekistan. Special attention was given to increasing the export of information technology services and to implementing new startups that include modern software solutions.
Issues related to artificial intelligence, particularly the collaborative development of accessible, practical AI models for use in education and other fields, were among the main topics.
Swiss companies’ participation in Uzbekistan’s investment projects, the use of Swiss experience in exports, and cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries were considered separately.
The parties reaffirmed their willingness to expand ties with the private sector and government organizations, implement projects in digital technologies, and bring cooperation to a new level.
