Given the financial crunch we are confronted with it was wrong on the part of Panjab government to form a big provincial cabinet, It was equally wrong on the part of KPK government also to set up a bloated cabinet. Wasn’t former NWFP, now KPK was once run by only six Ministers, including the Chief Minister?
It seems like the Bourbons we have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing.
Unless we cut back on the non developmental expenditure the country’s economic woes are not going to go away.
A ban needs to be laid at once on buying new official cars for the Ministers and hefty amounts would also be not spent on doing up their already well furnished offices because it is quite customary that with the change of government the new Ministers buy new cars and furnish their offices afresh on which a sizable amount is spent.
The country is in the red and we are once again knocking the door of the IMF for yet another bail out package. How long would it take us to say goodbye to IMF. India had, as back as in 1992 stopped taking foreign loans. Why the hell we still move with the begging bowl to world financial institutions to borrow money?
Why don’t we cut our Coat according to the Cloth ?
