It is about time both Islamabad and Kabul leave behind old rancor and talk up on good border management which is sadly missing. What good is the barbed wire and militia picquets on the Durand Line if they cannot hold on entry of Afghan nationals in Pakistan without valid visa documents.

It seems Trump is now backtracking on his statements and threats of imposing tariffs on many countries after China decided to pay him in the same coin. America is no patch on China in so far as political acumen and farsightedness is concerned. The Chinese president the other day hit the nail right on the head when he said that when the US was nowhere in existence even China has been running its economy well and can run it for another 500O years on its own steam. Truer words were never spoken .The teachings of great Chinese philosopher Confucius are ingrained deeply in the mind of the Chinese who have a long history of their own distinct culture which has stood the test of time.
On the contrary America is a nation of nations where people from across the world have settled in quest of earning livelihood.
POSTSCRIPT
It seems that tension between the PTI and the government is mounting by the day which isn’t a good sign for parliamentary democracy in the country.
