WNAM MONITORING: The Embassy of Turkmenistan, together with the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tehran, organized a cultural event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
The event from the Iranian side was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the vice-president of the Iranian Association of Cultural Artifacts and Monuments Alireza Habibi, the head of the Tehran branch of the international diplomatic magazine “AVA”, the head of the Turkmen cultural center in Iran Ali Rahbar, prominent scientific intellectuals and researchers of the works of Magtymguly Fragi, as well as the teaching staff of a number of higher educational institutions in Tehran.
During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Saad Khan, President of the ECO Institute of Culture, addressed the audience with welcoming speeches.
Embassy diplomats introduced the participants to the ongoing efforts of the Government of Turkmenistan to study and preserve the immortal heritage of the Turkmen classic, which is reflected in the motto of the current year of our country “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi.”
Famous Iranian scientists read out the poems of the great Turkmen classic and discussed the work of Magtymguly Fragi.
