After dismembering Soviet Union America had started thinking itself as the sole super power unmindful of the fact that China has been very growing fast in every walk of life and before long it will become another super power to be reckoned with. Today Beijing has undoubtedly become a super power whose grown and growing influence in every continent of the world is making shiver running down the spine of Yankees . Developmental projects like the CPEC has taken the world by storm.

Washington in its own wisdom considers that if American forces and spy agencies are stationed in Bagram’s airport, China can be watched with an eagle eye hence this recent hullabaloo over it in the White House and Pentagon . It won’t be an easy task to put the clock back and re-station American forces there without triggering a crises in Afghanistan. Chinese won’t allow the Americans breathe down their neck by allowing American marines in Bagram lying at a striking distance from its soil. Kabul will be foolish to allow the Americans to man Bagram airport as it would irk the ire of Beijing which is investing heavily to build Afghanistan’s doddering economy through CPEC
