WNAM MONITORING: Starting from May 18, the Chinese airline China Southern Airlines will introduce an additional weekly flight on the route Urumqi – Ashgabat – Urumqi. As the air carrier’s office told Turkmenportal, the new flight will operate on Saturdays in the direction of Urumqi – Ashgabat, and on Sundays – Ashgabat – Urumqi.
At present time, flights between Urumqi and Ashgabat operate once a week. Departures from Urumqi are carried out on Tuesdays, and the return flight Ashgabat – Urumqi operates on Wednesdays.
Thus, additional regular flights will permit passengers from Turkmenistan to make shorter trips and return faster on airline flights back to Ashgabat.
The cost of one-way air tickets in economy class for the flight Ashgabat – Urumqi is from 381 USD, a two-way ticket – from 612 dollars. You can carry up to 32 kg of luggage free of charge.
