Denpasar: State-owned electricity company PT PLN is ensuring the readiness of public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations (SPKLUs) to serve the delegates participating in the 10th World Water Forum (WWF).
General manager of the Bali Main Distribution Unit of PT PLN, I Wayan Udayana, said here on Friday that PLN is ready to ensure power reliability during the 10th WWF, which is scheduled to be held from May 18–25, 2024, in Bali.
Udayana added that PLN has readied 58 SPKLUs comprising 12 ultra-fast charging SPKLUs, 26 standard charging SPKLUs, and 20 second-generation public charging stations.
“The PLN team has measured and calculated by simulating the use of electric vehicles. Thus, all movements and mobilizations have been studied in order to obtain the correct battery power figures for electric vehicles so that more accurate SOPs can be prepared,” he said.
PLN will also identify risks and mitigate them well, especially in terms of the reliability of EV charging infrastructure and demonstrating PLN’s seriousness in supporting the successful implementation of the event.
Field visit coordinator for the vehicle sector of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Benus Drojo, informed that his ministry appreciates PLN for being very responsive in supporting the EV ecosystem in the country.
