WNAM MONITORING: A delegation led by Cai Xuejun, President of the Silk Road Fund of the People’s Republic of China, visited Bukhara.
The delegation members, accompanied by Deputy Hokim of the region Botirjon Shakhriyorov, studied the project to create Boqiy Bukhoro (Eternal Bukhara) Cultural-Ethnographic Park.
The guests were informed about the park, which will be built harmoniously with the city’s ancient architectural traditions. It was emphasized that this project is being implemented to provide more opportunities for residents of Bukhara and modern services to visitors.
The delegation members became familiar with the eternal city’s historical and cultural monuments. In particular, during the tour, which began from the ancient Arabon Street, the guests admired the Poi-Kalon Complex, Carpet Weaving Center, Ark Fortress, Samanid Mausoleum, and Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble. They also visited workshops of artisans, jewelers, embroiderers, blacksmiths, potters, wood carvers, knife makers, and others.
The guests were also informed about historical monuments, worship places, and large-scale landscaping activities. At the same time, it was stressed that they were restored and became an object of increased interest for thousands of tourists not only from the regions of Uzbekistan but also from all over the world.
The President of the Silk Road Fund acknowledged that the cultural heritage sites in Bukhara have been preserved in pristine condition and that this city has made a significant contribution to the development of world civilization due to its rich history and unique culture. At the same time, he stressed that the hard work, creativity, and hospitality of Bukhara people are well felt. The city offers excellent opportunities to implement new tourism and investment projects. According to him, the Silk Road Fund is ready to fully support initiatives in this direction.
