WNAM MONITORING: The Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, in Baku. The parties discussed the prospects for further development of inter-parliamentary relations.
It was noted that the practical action plan approved in 2022 in Tashkent, the roadmap for developing inter-parliamentary cooperation, has been fully implemented.
Following the meeting, a new roadmap for 2024-2025 was signed, aiming to raise cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries to an even higher level.
The document provides for deepening relations, developing legislative activities through the exchange of visits between members of parliament, and improving the legal framework for cooperation in the development of science, education, healthcare, tourism, ecology, and intercultural relations.
