WNAM REPORT: Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) hosted Wednesday a meeting for the chairs of the district election commissions.
The meeting was attended by CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Department for Territorial and Organizational Issues of the Presidential Administration Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev, First Deputy Prosecutor General Elchin Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ogtay Karimov, Deputy Minister of Justice Abiddin Huseynov and other officials.
Under the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, the sixth convocation Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been dissolved and the snap parliamentary elections in the Azerbaijani parliament scheduled for September 1, 2024.
The CEC registered authorized representatives of 17 political parties so far.
