WNAM REPORT: One of the most picturesque places in Uzbekistan’s Andijan region is Khanabad, a city that is becoming a tourist center for the entire Fergana Valley. It hosts the Second International Pop Music Festival “Dunyo Sadolari” (“Melodies of the World”).
The event is organized on the initiative of the Head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to widely present the country’s national pop music to the world, increase Uzbekistan’s prestige in the international arena, and promote the country’s tourism potential, in particular the city of Khanabad.
The international festival, which is being held in the country for the second time, is attended by pop groups and singers from many countries around the world and pop stars from the country.
The festival, which will continue until July 31, will feature a mix of national and world pop stars, including Dianella (Kazakhstan), Jah Khalib (Kazakhstan), Megan (Belgium), Jony (Azerbaijan), and Inna (Romania).
The festival’s main events are held in the Alisher Navoi Culture and Recreation Park. Visitors are particularly interested in the exhibitions of each region’s traditions and national values.
The artistic programs and colorful performances of ensembles operating in the region’s national cultural centers presented on the main stage of the culture and recreation park glorified the peace and prosperity, interethnic friendship, and harmony reigning in the country.
