WNAM REPORT: The Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic has adopted in the third reading the Draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Ratification of the Treaty on Deepening and Expanding Allied Relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan” signed on 19 April 2024 in Astana.
This document will serve to further enhance the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in a number of key areas, including political, military-technical, economic, investment, transit-transport, water-energy, scientific-technical and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
It should be noted that the treaty on deepening and expanding allied relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic was signed by Kazakh and Kyrgyz leaders Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Zhaparov following the meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council at Akorda this April.
