WNAM REPORT: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with the Shadow Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, a member of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, Priti Patel.
At the meeting, the British side was informed about the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan and the country’s achievements in the political, economic, social, and cultural spheres in recent years.
Ms. Priti Patel highly praised the reforms and changes in Uzbekistan and emphasized that London is interested in expanding relations with Tashkent in all areas.
The parties also exchanged views on further enhancing cooperation in the political, trade, economic and investment, cultural, and educational spheres.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical contacts to realize the potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
