Tashkent: The Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan in Tashkent hosted the official opening of a branch of the “Tourism and Hospitality Business” Department of Tashkent State Economic University (TSEU). This event marks a new phase in the preparation of highly qualified specialists for the dynamically developing tourism sector of the country.
The opening of the branch is directly connected to the implementation of presidential decrees aimed at fostering close collaboration between universities and enterprises.
Presidential Decrees No 62 of 7 February 2024, and No 269 of 18 July 2024, highlight the necessity of establishing department branches at large economic associations to prepare professionals who meet the modern demands of the market. A memorandum of cooperation signed between the Tourism Committee and TSEU on April 3, 2024, laid the foundation for the realization of this project.
The main objectives of the branch include:
Integration of theory and practice: The branch aims to ensure close interaction between theoretical education and practical experience, enabling students to acquire knowledge and skills that are directly relevant to the tourism business.
Involvement of experienced professionals: Leading specialists from the Tourism Committee will be engaged in teaching, guaranteeing the relevance and practical significance of the educational programs.
Constant updating of knowledge: Teachers and students will have access to the latest innovations and trends in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Development of scientific research: The branch will serve as a platform for joint scientific research, the development of new projects, and participation in grants.
The opening of the department branch is an important step toward modernizing the personnel training system for Uzbekistan’s tourism sector.
