DHAKA ( WNAM REPORT): The 4th Made in Pakistan Exhibition & Business Investment Conference, organized by the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry (PAEI), was inaugurated in a grand ceremony at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Arif Hussain, Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau, inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon as the chief guest. Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider, Founder Chairman of PAEI Khurshid Barlas, Chairman PAEI Fahad Barlas and other distinguished guests were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and Bangladesh. Chairman PAEI Fahad Barlas welcomed the distinguished guests and participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Fahad Barlas said that the exhibition would help strengthen relations and business linkages between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He said Pakistan had brought leading brands to Bangladesh and emphasized the need to focus on the SAARC region. He added that Pakistan’s economy was strengthening and that the country was moving towards new opportunities for growth and development.
Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider congratulated Founder Chairman Khurshid Barlas and Chairman Fahad Barlas on organizing the 4th Made in Pakistan Exhibition & Business Investment Conference. He described the exhibition as an important milestone in strengthening economic and commercial relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Arif Hussain, Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau, said the event provided an important platform for regional integration and for showcasing Pakistani products in Bangladesh. He said that all initiatives aimed at promoting trade, investment and business opportunities should be encouraged.
Founder Chairman PAEI Khurshid Barlas said that the main objective of the exhibition was to introduce Pakistani products to the Bangladeshi market and international buyers. He noted that both Pakistan and Bangladesh rely significantly on the textile and apparel sectors for exports and stressed the need for further measures to strengthen the export sector and enhance bilateral trade relations.
He further said that Pakistani women entrepreneurs could benefit from Bangladesh’s developing textile industry, while Bangladeshi businesswomen could explore new customers in Pakistan’s growing retail market.
A wide range of Pakistani products were displayed at the exhibition, including textiles, food products, electrical appliances, kitchenware and crockery, consumer products, footwear, household goods, gems and jewellery, fashion and fabrics, tourism and hospitality services, machinery and equipment, handicrafts and other products.
The exhibition attracted more than 5,000 visitors and delegates, who showed keen interest in Pakistani products and business opportunities.
At the conclusion of the event, shields were presented to distinguished personalities in recognition of their contributions and outstanding performance. The awards were presented by representatives of the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry, including Arif Hussain, Vice Chairman Export Promotion Bureau, Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider, Chairman PAEI Fahad Barlas and Founder Chairman PAEI Khurshid Barlas.
The successful exhibition provided a platform for Pakistani companies and brands to explore new business opportunities in Bangladesh and further strengthen commercial and economic ties between the two countries.
