WNAM MONITORING: The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the city of Arkadag on Friday to review the progress of the second phase of the city’s construction, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov examined plans for social, cultural, and industrial facilities set to be built. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty focused particularly on the landscaping of parks, architectural design of buildings, and adherence to environmental standards. During the discussions, he emphasized the need to blend modern technologies with Turkmen traditions and suggested several improvements for the urban space.
During his visit, he also met with leaders of law enforcement and military agencies in Arkadag to discuss issues related to public order, traffic management, and the operations of relevant structures. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the need to enhance their effectiveness and provided specific instructions to address existing shortcomings.
Additionally, the National Leader met with representatives of international companies to discuss key issues related to urban infrastructure development. At the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, he held talks with representatives from the South Korean company Koreýa Meditech Co. Ltd and the Japanese company Sumitomo regarding equipping new medical facilities with advanced technologies that meet international standards.
During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also attended the State Circus named after Gorogly, where he congratulated the participants of the national equestrian games group Galkynyş on their victory at the International Circus Arts Festival in Monte Carlo. He noted that the performers’ achievements contribute to strengthening Turkmenistan’s international reputation.
At the conclusion of his visit, the National Leader inspected new municipal equipment intended for maintaining cleanliness and enhancing the city of Arkadag, underscoring the importance of its effective use and instructing relevant authorities to monitor this issue closely.
