WNAM REPORT: On February 27, 2025, the presentation of the CT TECH+ Programme for Uzbekistan took place in Tashkent.
This initiative is implemented within the framework of the Global Counter Terrorism Programme on Cybersecurity and New Technologies and is funded by the European Union.
The purpose of the event is the official presentation of the CT TECH+ Programme in Uzbekistan, as well as the coordination of the action plan for 2025-2026.
The event was organized by the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) with the support of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and academic circles attended the event.
The CT TECH+ Programme is aimed at strengthening national counter-terrorism strategies, enhancing the technological capabilities of law enforcement agencies, and developing international cooperation in combating terrorist threats related to new technologies. The initiative provides training for specialists in artificial intelligence and open source intelligence (OSINT) and countering cyberterrorism and illegal operations on the darknet.
