WNAM MONITORING: The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, took part in a nationwide greening campaign on Saturday, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
The event brought together high-level officials, including the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of the military and law enforcement agencies, the diplomatic corps, and the general public.
The campaign continues the environmental initiatives established by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The key objectives of the program are to expand forested areas and preserve the country’s biodiversity.
The state’s environmental policy aims to create a sustainable natural environment for future generations. An important component of this strategy is the active involvement of the population in environmental protection activities. Mass greening campaigns not only contribute to achieving environmental goals but also help form a corresponding culture in society.
