Preparations for 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality Reviewed

WNAM MONITORING: National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the State Organizing Committee to review preparations for events marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The meeting, attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers and senior officials, focused on a wide range of organizational and logistical issues related to the upcoming celebrations.

According to reports, comprehensive measures are being taken in cooperation with relevant agencies to ensure the proper organization of Neutrality Day, an important date on Turkmenistan’s national calendar. Updates were presented on the development of the celebration program and related activities.

Large-scale cultural events are planned to mark the occasion, with special attention given to providing a high level of service for guests in line with Turkmen traditions of hospitality. Efforts are also underway to promote the celebrations internationally and to form a volunteer group of outstanding young teachers and active university students to assist during the festivities.

Particular attention is being given to ensuring high-quality communications and internet access for participants of international events.

Summarizing the reports, the National Leader emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to organizing the celebrations. He noted that the events should highlight Turkmenistan’s peace-loving foreign policy.

Berdimuhamedov also stressed the need to implement measures to further beautify Ashgabat ahead of the festivities and ensure the capital is fully prepared for the national holiday.

Later, the Hero-Arkadag visited the International Reception Center in a scenic part of the capital, where all conditions have been created to host high-level guests in accordance with national hospitality traditions. He noted the importance of a coordinated approach to organizing international events marking significant national dates.

He emphasized that the celebrations should leave foreign guests with lasting and positive impressions of Turkmenistan and its people, and gave corresponding instructions to officials.

As part of his inspection, the Hero-Arkadag also visited the Arkadag Hotel, where all necessary conditions have been created to host senior guests and representatives of international organizations.

Berdimuhamedov wished success to all those involved in ensuring that the upcoming international events are held at a high organizational level before departing the site.
