Jakarta (WNAM MONITORING ): Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, said that the government is preparing a subsidized housing program for health workers, teachers, and fishermen.
Under the program, 30 thousand subsidized homes will be prepared for health workers, 20 thousand houses for teachers, and 20 thousand residences for fishermen, he informed.
“President Prabowo Subianto said that this year, we have prepared 20 thousand (subsidized houses) for teachers, and have started last week in Bogor. After Eid, we will immediately start for other sectors,” he said on Monday.
He made the remarks while attending an Eid gathering or halalbihalal at the residence of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia.
According to Sirait, the subsidized housing programs have received support from the President and Bank Indonesia (BI) in terms of policy relaxation through the Macroprudential Liquidity Incentive Policy (KLM).
In addition, his ministry is preparing a subsidized housing program under which 1 thousand houses will be provided to media industry workers.
Under the subsidized housing plan for health workers, 15 thousand units will be built for nurses, 10 thousand units for midwives, and 5 thousand units for other health workers.
