Chinese villages are developing in various fields. Until recently, one of them was just ruins, and now thousands of tourists come here. This is Aihe Village in Luoyang County. This place is a symbol of tranquility, clothed in art.
An international ceramic art master, Guo Aihe, arrived here in 2015. In an abandoned area, he saw the abode of authentic art, the foundation for the spirit, and the people’s future. The village became the center of the ceramic renaissance.
Many beautiful workshops, magnificent ceramics, and mosaics are on the plains. A ceramic mosaic stretches from the foot of the village for three kilometers up the slope, like a historical epic made of pieces of clay. The heart of the center is the Chinese Tricolor Art Gallery, filled with thousands of colorful ceramic products from the Tang dynasty, modern installations, and sculptures. Residents and foreign visitors come together to witness the story and tell each other about the events, not on paper, but using clay. Tourists come here not only to see, but also to create, shape, and feel ceramic products with their own hands. During the annual art festival, creative people from all over China and abroad come to this village to live and create.
Aihe receives more than 300,000 tourists a year. There is peace in every corner of this place, and every wall holds its own story – the once-abandoned premises now house art galleries, creative workshops, and rental art houses.
Aihe is recognized as the most beautiful village in China and the center of cultural tourism. Every traveler can take many impressions and souvenirs with them.
