What a pity that dynastic politics continues to hold sway in this country. Even the religio-political parties suffer from this vice barring, of course, an odd party like the JI.
The new entrant in this game is Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto junior, grandson of Z A Bhutto and son of late Murtaza Bhutto who has let it be known that he would contest from Lyari Karachi for a seat in the National Assembly. How would Zardari react to this development is anybody’s guess because the President had shown his desire more than once that he wants his son Bilawal to be the next PM of the country. In his heart of heàrts Nawaz Sharif may also like his daughter Maryam to occupy the coveted chair of Prime Minister.

The rift in the PTI is widening by the day. With so many leaders of this party giving comments on the idiot box daily the listeners cannot make head and tail of whatever they utter. Had the party’s head nominated a single person to speak for the party the confusion which exists today on its stand on many issues would not have arisen. Social media too continues to spread a lot of confusion. Why are the authorities not subjecting it to censorship, is not understandable?
