WNAM MONITORING: Astana and Ashgabat are discussing routes for supplying Turkmen gas through Kazakhstan, exploring options for deliveries to China, Iran, and South Asian countries.

According to the report, prospects for expanding cooperation include participation in processing, storage, and cross-border energy flow management. These areas could form the basis for a regional energy space amid shifts in global markets.

Turkmenistan possesses substantial natural gas resources, while Kazakhstan views the country as a key link in diversifying its energy supplies.

Work continues between QazaqGaz and Turkmengaz on unifying technological procedures and preparing joint projects. The talks could result in a roadmap for the Galkynysh field.

QazaqGaz is Kazakhstan’s national gas company, engaged in the extraction, transportation, storage, and sale of natural gas, as well as the development of the country’s gas transport infrastructure.
