ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov participated as Chief Guest at the Ambassadors’ Dinner 2026, hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, for foreign ambassadors accredited to Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, the LCCI President and Vice-Presidents thanked the diplomatic community for its participation, highlighted the Chamber’s key achievements, and underscored the vast potential for expanding Pakistan’s trade and economic ties with regional and international partners.Speaking on behalf of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Ambassador Movlamov thanked LCCI for the warm hospitality and lauded the pivotal role of the business community of Lahore and Punjab in promoting exports, attracting investment, creating employment and driving economic growth.
Elaborating on Turkmenistan’s regional policy, the Ambassador said the Turkmen leadership attaches paramount importance to strengthening regional connectivity through the development of transport links. He laid particular emphasis on the establishment of the “Arkadagyň ak ýoly” (Arkadag’s White Path) unified transit and energy corridor, as well as progress on the TAPI and TAP projects.He noted that construction of the strategically important Serhetabat-Herat section of the TAPI gas pipeline is planned to be completed this year, which would create conditions for commencement of natural gas supplies to Afghanistan in 2027.
The implementation of these projects, he said, will ensure reliable supply of cleaner energy to the region, create new opportunities for Pakistan’s industrial sector and support sustainable economic growth.Ambassador Movlamov also underscored the growing interest of Central Asian countries and other nations in expanding trade with Pakistan, optimizing transit routes, and developing long-term, mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
Expressing confidence that the event would serve as a catalyst for closer interaction and concrete partnerships between Pakistan and the international business community, he said the dinner provided a valuable platform for exchanging views, forging new business connections and exploring prospects for joint projects.
