Had concerned powers that be selected proper person for the gubernatorial office of KPK and the PTI’ s men at the helm of affairs also selected suitable persons as the chief executive of this province law and order of that border province would not have deteriorated to the extent it has. To give charge of this border province to persons who are in their salad days with no experience, whatever, of handling the complex issues of law and order of the province were not sensible steps. Not that there was no competent person present around .Anwar Saifullah Khan could have proved a far better choice as a neutral Governor KPK because of his past experience as a politician, his good reputation as well as his experience of administrative affairs as he had remained a civil servant also for quite a long time
The law and order in the KPK is in a shambles Never a day goes by when there is no act of violence in it, killing invaluable lives It seems that the local intelligence agencies and police have failed miserably to combat grown and growing terrorism If the new incumbent of the office of CM KPK and its governor do not come on the same page odds are that the Province might drift to the Governor rule before long .
Postscript:
The reports that the country is going to be hit by scarcity of water before long make a grim reading Similarly reports to the effect that hygienic drinking water is outside the reach of 80 percent people in Pakistan are also discouraging and these two issues require necessary remedial action on the part of powers that be on a war footing
Time was when the municipal institutions used to supply through its pipeline drinking water to the city dwellers after treating it with chlorine or potassium permanganate When the underground sewerage pipes mingled up with the drinking water pipeline due to their defective laying the sewerage water started polluting the drinking water and from that time onwards the city dwellers started using mineral water This is happening in every city of the country.
