Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT): Chairman Standing Committee, Mobile Phones Association ICCI, Nafees Rehman, while strongly condemning the recent tragic incident at Gul Plaza in Karachi, stated that the incident is a clear proof of government failure and administrative negligence. He said that the Sindh government’s rescue institutions have also failed in this regard.
He demanded that immediate steps be taken to address the loss of lives and property suffered by the affected traders and citizens. He further urged the Sindh government to allocate at least PKR 5 billion for a relief fund and to immediately initiate rehabilitation measures.
Nafees Rehman said that in this difficult time, the entire business community stands in solidarity with the affected people. He emphasized that a foolproof strategy must be formulated to prevent such incidents in the future, as such tragedies severely disrupt business activities. He added that the economic situation is already challenging, and insecurity in commercial centers further undermines the confidence of investors and buyers.
