The climatic change is taking a heavy toll on physical and health infrastructure of developing countries, including Pakistan. Not only has the untimely rains and melting of glaciers been causing heavy floods in the rivers washing away built up property worth millions of rupees the spread of infectious diseases has also affected the oldies and children. The disturbing part of this episode is that it is the developed countries which are instrumental in the climatic change in the globe and not the underdeveloped which have suffered for no fault of theirs. The developing countries are not in a position to foot the bill of vast devastation caused by it so it is the moral responsibility of developed countries to come forward and give an helping hand to the under devolved countries in tiding over the financial burden being faced by them owing to climatic change. It is feared that in the near future due to melting of glaciers in the northern areas of this country owing to expected rise in temperature many populated areas and built up property in them will be washed away by heavy floods and a heavy amount will be needed to restore them so we had better gird up our loins right from now onwards to face any eventuality on this score.
