Foundation University’s Orientation Ceremony for Spring 2026 Held

Marks beginning of new academic journey for incoming cohort

ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT):  Foundation University Islamabad successfully organized the Orientation Ceremony for the Spring 2026 intake of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), BS Medical Laboratory Technology (BS MLT), BS Medical Imaging Technology (BS MIT), BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics (BS HND), BS Operation Theatre Technology (BS OTT), and BS Optometry (BS OPT) programs. The ceremony was held at Jinnah Auditorium, Foundation University School of Health Sciences (FUSH).

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Maj Gen Prof. Dr. Qudrat Ullah Malik (Retd.) (HI) (M), Director FUSH, as the Chief Guest, and Associate Professor Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Manan Haider Khan, Federal Member/Registrar, Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC), Government of Pakistan, as the Guest of Honor.

The proceedings commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi, Principal/Dean, FUCP & FUCHAS, formally welcomed the newly admitted students and administered the oath-taking ceremony, reaffirming their commitment to professional excellence, ethical conduct, and dedication to healthcare services.

Dr. Muhammad Ehab Azim, Associate Dean/Vice Principal, delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the vision, academic achievements, and future direction of FUCP and FUCHAS. The presentation highlighted campus facilities, faculty strength, infrastructure development, alumni accomplishments, establishment of the Foundation University Journal of Rehabilitation Sciences (FUJRS), international recognition including WCPT accreditation, and global collaborations through various Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by the Chief Guest, followed by the presentation of a commemorative shield to the Guest of Honor and a group photograph with the Director Campus and newly enrolled students. The event was followed by a guided orientation tour of the FUCP campus and facilities, led by faculty members and student council representatives.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming cohort and reflected the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence, professional integrity, and the advancement of allied health sciences in Pakistan.
