MAKKAH ( WNAM MONITORING): Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif on Thursday inspected several projects and facilities in the holy sites as part of tours to monitor preparations for Hajj.

During a visit to Mina Emergency Hospital 2, Prince Abdulaziz, who is also Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, reviewed the progress of health, medical, and emergency services provided to pilgrims.

He toured several medical and emergency departments and examined patient reception procedures, plans for handling reports and critical cases, the hospital’s operational capacity, and treatment and preventative services available to pilgrims.

Prince Abdulaziz was also briefed on the level of integration between medical teams, emergency responders, and support services.

Additionally, the minister was informed about the role of advanced technologies and modern equipment in accelerating response times and improving healthcare efficiency.

Hospital plans to raise operational capacity to 100% to ensure full readiness, were also shown to the minister.

In Muzdalifah, Prince Abdulaziz reviewed services provided under the Holy Sites Pathway Project, which aims to reduce heat and physical stress and improve pilgrims’ comfort and mobility during rituals.

He also inspected designated pilgrim rest areas equipped with shade structures, green spaces, seating, drinking water stations, and lighting poles, in addition to organizational solutions designed to facilitate crowd movement and reduce congestion.

In Arafat, Prince Abdulaziz reviewed organizational and service arrangements in the courtyards of Namirah Mosque, including preparations for crowd management, pedestrian flow, and service provision to facilitate pilgrims’ movement and ensure safety during Dhuhr and Asr prayers.

He also visited Mount Arafat, where he reviewed field preparations and security, organizational, and service plans designed to ensure the safety of large pilgrim crowds on the Day of Arafah.

Prince Abdulaziz stressed the importance of integration among participating entities, intensifying field efforts, and continuing to develop specialized initiatives and services for pilgrims.

That integration is in line with the Saudi leadership’s directives to mobilize all resources to serve pilgrims and enhance their safety and comfort throughout the Hajj season.

Several ministers and senior officials accompanied him during the tour.
