ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, chaired a meeting at BISP Headquarters with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Joint Review Mission to review progress ongoing projects under the Integrated Social Protection Development Program (ISPDP), its Additional Financing and BISP’s Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programmes for health and education.*
The ADB delegation included Mansoor Ali Masood (Co-Mission Leader & Senior Project Officer), Hiddo Huitzing (Senior Social Sector Specialist – Health and Social Protection), Xin Long (Co-Mission Leader & Principal Social Sector Specialist), Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad (TA Team Leader/National Social Protection Specialist), and Noman Ali (Program Implementation Specialist).
Senator Rubina Khalid appreciated ADB’s longstanding partnership and reaffirmed BISP’s commitment to delivering transparent, technology-driven, and inclusive social protection services. She also emphasized continued collaboration on data security, the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, and education and awareness initiatives under BISP’s CCT programmes.
The mission reviewed progress on the Design and Monitoring Framework (DMF), Disbursement-Linked Indicators (DLIs), Program Action Plan (PAP), technical assistance, reporting requirements, adolescent girls’ nutrition interventions, and future implementation arrangements.
The ADB delegation appreciated BISP’s progress in programme implementation and reaffirmed its continued technical and financial support for strengthening Pakistan’s social protection system.
