SLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT) Foundation University Islamabad congratulates Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi, Principal/Dean, Foundation University College of Physical Therapy (FUCP) and Foundation University College of Allied Health Sciences (FUCAHS), on being recognised by World Physiotherapy as one of its 75 Noteworthy Physiotherapists as part of its 75th anniversary celebrations.
The recognition acknowledges physiotherapists whose contributions have made a significant impact on the profession and reflects Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi’s more than two decades of contributions to clinical practice, physiotherapy education, academic leadership, research and professional development.
Throughout his professional career, Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi has contributed to promoting excellence in physiotherapy practice and strengthening professional standards in Pakistan. His work spans clinical practice, education, research and academic leadership, contributing to the continued development of the physiotherapy profession.
His contributions to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) have included curriculum and accreditation review, supporting efforts to strengthen the quality and standards of physiotherapy education in Pakistan.
He has also contributed to national rehabilitation planning through the Federal Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Strategic Action Plans 2023–2028, supporting efforts towards the development of rehabilitation and assistive technology services in the country.
Recognition among World Physiotherapy’s 75 Noteworthy Physiotherapists is a significant professional achievement and reflects Prof. Dr. Furqan Ahmed Siddiqi’s sustained contributions to physiotherapy education, practice, research and professional development.
