WNAM MONITORING: The international conference “Main directions and potential for tourism development in Turkmenistan” is scheduled to be held on March 27-28 this year. Deputy Prime Minister Myakhrijemal Mammedova reported on preparations for a large-scale tourism forum during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It is expected that the upcoming forum will be attended by leaders and representatives of specialized international structures, as well as leading tourism organizations of a number of countries. Opportunities will be created for delegates to get acquainted with the city of Arkadag, unique historical and cultural monuments, museums and, in general, the tourism potential of Turkmenistan.
In addition, the conference will include a scientific and practical forum and a ceremony for signing cooperation agreements between travel companies. It is also planned that guests will participate in the celebrations marking the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of holding the upcoming conference at a high level to promote the country’s tourism potential.
