RIYADH: The Muslim World League will hold a conference titled “Building Bridges Between Islamic Sects” in Makkah on Sunday, under the patronage of King Salman, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
Prominent Islamic figures, including muftis and senior scholars from various Islamic sects, will take part in the conference.
It aims to enhance understanding and cooperation between Islamic sects in order to serve common goals, especially with regard to major issues that require unity of legitimate opinion.
The conference will also challenge the speech, slogans and practices of sectarian extremism that seek to incite conflict and sectarian clashes, harming the values of Islamic brotherhood.
