WNAM MONITORING: Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov called on Punjab Chief Minister Mrs. Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore.
The Ambassador congratulated the Punjab Chief Minister on the assumption of the office and wished all success in her work to bring more progress and economic developments to the Punjab province and Pakistan.
The sides discussed increasing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Punjab for the promotion of trade and investment. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that Turkmenistan is considered the brother country of Pakistan and highlighted existing opportunities for investment in Punjab province.
Both sides considered the potential of cooperation in energy, industry, livestock, agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical sectors.
It was noted, that strengthening cooperation and increasing trade between Turkmenistan and Punjab will give a powerful impetus to the socio-economic development of both countries.
Senator Pervez Rasheed, Senior Provincial Minister Mariyum Aurangzeb and others were also present at the meeting.
