Character assassination is also the order of the day in our so_called social media. One is reminded here of an anecdote which aptly fits in the issue under discussion. A writer once said everybody complains of uncertain bad weather of England but nobody does anything to correct it. Likewise one comes across a lot of hue and cry against the ill effects of unfettered social media on the minds of the youth of this country but nothing is being done to regulate it. After all morals and morality are more sacrosanct than other things. Aren’t they?
