WNAM MONITORING: The delegation, led by Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba, Chairman of the Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, arrived in Samarkand.
The guests visited the complex of the great hadith scholar Imam Bukhari. They were informed about the construction and improvement work carried out at the initiative of the Head of state at the site. The guests were greatly impressed by the mausoleum erected over the grave of our great-grandfather, a mosque for ten thousand believers, a museum, and verandas built based on oriental architectural traditions.
The delegation got acquainted with the activities of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center. It was noted that the books prepared by the center’s scientists and the ongoing research work contribute to the study of the history of the emergence of the sacred religion of Islam, the stages of its development, and the scientific heritage of great hadith scholars and thinkers.
During their visit to the Registan complex, guests got acquainted with the history of three majestic madrassas – Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tilla-Qori. An exhibition of national handicrafts was presented.
