WNAM MONITORING: The Turkmenistan Investment Forum and Exhibition (TIF 2024), a significant event scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on September 19 – 20, 2024, on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, is poised to be a pivotal international platform for attracting investment into the country’s economy. The organizers of this event are the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The Forum is not just a gathering of minds but a platform that welcomes foreign investors, international financial organizations, and companies interested in entering the Turkmen market. It is designed to present the diverse investment opportunities of Turkmenistan, consider proposals for the accelerated attraction of foreign direct investment, and explore the prospects for the implementation of joint investment projects, including regional ones. The Forum also aims to promote the country’s export potential and foster cooperation between national and foreign entrepreneurs and investors. It is a space that creates opportunities for the development of digitalization and the transition to a circular economy.
The TIF 2024 programme is designed to be comprehensive, covering a wide range of topics such as Turkmenistan’s investment potential, the role of the country’s fuel and energy sector in the regional energy transition, transport connectivity and sustainability, economic diversification, digital transformation, development of smart agriculture and green economy, and public-private partnerships.
The TIF 2024 programme also includes parallel thematic sessions with representatives of United Nations specialized agencies and experts from S&P Global Commodity Insights—round tables with the participation of the Secretariat of the World Trade Organization and international institutions and organizations.
The Exhibition of Economic Achievements is not just a showcase but an interactive platform that will present the latest developments in various sectors of the national economy—industry, agriculture, energy, construction, transport, and communications. Visitors will be able to engage with the leading domestic enterprises, advanced technologies, and innovative solutions used in Turkmenistan’s economy. The exhibition will foster mutually beneficial cooperation, and exchange trading is also planned on the sidelines of the Exhibition.
On the sidelines of the forum, meetings with CEOs of national companies and ministries of various sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy will be organized.
