Six thousand people of 100 stakeholders in the aviation sector from 35 countries, as well as representatives of governments and ministers of friendly countries are expected to attend BIAS 2024.
Pandjaitan announced that various leading companies will participate in this event, such as Airbus, Bell Helicopters, Boeing, Brahmos, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Garuda Indonesia, Leonardo, Lion Air, MBDA, PT DI, Textron Aviation, and Thales.
According to the minister, the implementation of BIAS 2024 is the government’s effort to showcase Indonesia’s aerospace and air defense potential to the international world.
In addition, Pandjaitan affirmed that the event has the potential to increase investment and become a collaboration platform for industry players in Indonesia.
He also revealed that the Indonesian government will launch the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Roadmap at BIAS 2024.
“This will ensure added value for the country’s economy, maintain energy security in the air transportation sector, and contribute to Indonesia’s decarbonization commitment,” he stated.
He also thanked friendly countries that would showcase their fleets at the flying display at BIAS, such as Australia, which would deliver two F35 fighter aircraft, and Germany, which would deliver Airbus A400M aircraft.
In the same place, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi stated that his side strongly supports BIAS 2024.
He also ensured that air transportation services in the Bali area would continue to run normally during the event.
