WNAM REPORT: In Mary, in the Palace of Celebrations, an exhibition of entrepreneurs and a forum “Support for private entrepreneurs: new opportunities, broad worldview” were held, organized by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by about 150 private entrepreneurs and organizations, the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan” reports.
The exhibition featured pavilions displaying products of various crafts, furniture, national costumes, models of agricultural machinery and much more.
During the exchange of opinions at the forum, it was emphasized, in particular, that the development of the non-state sector of the national economy, increasing its role through the widespread introduction of modern market mechanisms, and support for entrepreneurial initiative are among the priorities of the policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan.
One of the most successfully developed industries by Turkmen businessmen is the construction and production of building materials. In particular, in the Mary velayat, a number of socially significant facilities were commissioned in the first half of the year, including the opening of the first stage of a cottage complex built along the Mary-Ashgabat highway. The first 59 two-story comfortable cottages out of the planned 200 were put into operation, and the second section of the Tejen-Mary high-speed Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway was opened.
Mary entrepreneurs are increasingly delighting consumers with their new products, which are supplied in a wide range to the domestic and foreign markets. Gardening and viticulture have become one of the popular areas among private farmers, the source notes.
