ANKARA ( WNAM MONITORING): Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Türkiye on Monday on a two-day official visit, where he is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with the country’s military and political leadership.
According to security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Türkiye.
During the visit, the Chief of Defence Forces will hold important discussions with senior Turkish military officials and political leaders on matters of mutual interest, including bilateral defence cooperation and regional security.
The visit comes days after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s trip to Türkiye, during which he held a series of meetings aimed at enhancing strategic and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following his visit, the prime minister said the engagements would further strengthen the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
He also noted that Turkish investors and business leaders had shown strong interest in investing in Pakistan, particularly in the mining, minerals and energy sectors, reflecting growing economic cooperation between the two countries.
