WNAM REPORT: A delegation from the city of Shusha of the Republic of Azerbaijan led by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district Aydin Karimov visited Urgench State University as part of a visit to Khorezm region.
The guests got acquainted with the Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan Friendship Center named after Yusuf Vazir Chamanzaminli, organized at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in honor of the outstanding Azerbaijani poet, writer, playwright, and public figure.
The guests were informed about the center’s history and the prospects for cooperation with Azerbaijani higher education institutions in language and literature.
As part of the visit, an official meeting was held between the delegation of the city of Shusha of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the leadership of Urgench State University.
The long-standing friendly ties and commonality of the two fraternal countries were noted during the dialogue.
The Rector of Urgench State University, B. Abdullayev, acquainted the delegation members with the university’s current activities and international cooperation links, noting the importance of strengthening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, which will further develop friendly relations between the two countries.
The parties agreed to establish cooperation between universities in tourism and architecture.
