WNAM REPORT: On September 12, the city of Nanjing in China’s Jiangsu province celebrated the grand opening of the “Central Asia – Jiangsu” shopping center.
The multi-story center serves as a multifunctional platform for companies from Central Asian countries, according to nCa, citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration.
During the opening ceremony, exhibition pavilions featuring export products from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan were showcased.
The center will be managed by Kazakhstan’s QazTrade National Institute for the Development and Promotion of Non-Commodity Exports and China’s SOHO Group. Jiangsu SOHO International Group Corp, a major state-owned business group in China, operates over 380 enterprises.
Thanks to its advanced infrastructure, the center will facilitate Central Asian countries’ access to the Chinese market.
Jiangsu imports goods worth over $266.8 billion annually, primarily industrial and agricultural products.
A similar multifunctional center may be established in the future in Astana, Kazakhstan.
