WNAM REPORT: A member of the CIS observer group, Advisor to the Executive Committee of the CIS Denis Varganov visited Samarkand and got acquainted with the preparations for the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Local Councils of People’s Deputies.
In particular, the international observer was provided with detailed information on the work carried out in the region in preparation for the upcoming elections, the work of 1,130 polling stations, and the composition of commissions.
“Thorough preparations have been carried out in Uzbekistan for the upcoming parliamentary and local elections”, said Mr. Denis Varganov. “All processes comply with the requirements of the Election Code. All conditions have been created for citizens to vote at polling stations. At the same time, separate places have also been prepared for observers and media representatives”.
The international observer got acquainted with the work of several polling stations in Samarkand.
