Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazan on 23-24 October for a working visit to participate in the BRICS summit, at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The Uzbek leader will speak at the plenary session of the summit in the “BRICS Plus” format, which will be chaired by Russia.
The agenda of the summit includes issues related to expanding international cooperation to ensure inclusive and sustainable development, as well as relevant aspects of global politics.
In addition to participating in the summit, President Mirziyoyev’s itinerary includes a number of bilateral meetings.
The BRICS grouping was established in 2006 and currently includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
Uzbekistan’s participation in the BRICS summit demonstrates the country’s commitment to actively engage in international processes and strengthen cooperation with leading nations around the world.
