WNAM REPORT: Bukhara Region Hokim Botir Zaripov met with the ambassadors of the United States, Türkiye, Latvia, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Qatar, Pakistan, Palestine, and Egypt, as well as the Deputy Chief of Mission of Saudi Arabia and the Chargé d’Affaires of the UAE.
At the meeting, which included Deputy Foreign Minister Ilkhom Khaydarov, issues of developing economic cooperation with Bukhara region were discussed, particularly attracting investments, implementing infrastructure projects, and further strengthening trade and economic relations. The ambassadors also considered joint projects and existing opportunities for developing relations.
Mr. Zaripov welcomed the ambassadors and spoke about the region’s history and current stage of development, particularly about the work being done to attract foreign investment.
The head of the region invited investors to cooperate, offering to take advantage of all the preferences provided in the textile, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, production of building materials, electrical engineering, agriculture, renewable energy sources, and the construction of modern hotels.
Cooperation was also proposed for implementing projects aimed at producing high-value-added products in free economic and small industrial zones, introducing technologies for storing and processing agricultural products, and creating light industry enterprises.
Readiness was expressed to provide all-round support to initiatives aimed at developing trade, economic, investment, agricultural, scientific, educational, tourist, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign countries.In turn, the ambassadors of foreign countries expressed gratitude for the warm welcome. They stated that they would make efforts to develop mutually beneficial relations with Bukhara region and attract investors widely.
