WNAM REPORT: The Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA), Ayxan Hacızade, commented on the future relations between Azerbaijan and the United States following the upcoming U.S. presidential election, as per reports.
In a statement to journalists, Hacızade noted that it is difficult to predict the policies and steps that the new administration in the U.S. will take, considering the forthcoming presidential elections.
He pointed out that while Azerbaijan is an oil and gas country, it plans to take relevant measures in the long term for the transition to “green energy” and the reduction of carbon emissions.
Hacızade emphasized that Azerbaijan is currently implementing significant projects aimed at transitioning to “green energy”:
“These projects are among the most important issues in Azerbaijan’s energy infrastructure diversification efforts.”
