Baku ( WNAM MONITORING): “The second international conference, ‘The Right to Return: Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled From Armenia,’ will be held in Baku on December 5-6,” Ulviyya Zulfikar, Spokesperson for the Western Azerbaijan Community, stated in response to an inquiry.
The opening ceremony will feature five panels addressing the rights of West Azerbaijanis and their entitlements under international law. During the event, honorary membership certificates of the Western Azerbaijan Community will be awarded to 16 participants from 10 countries. The artistic segment of the conference is scheduled for December 6.
“Over 100 delegates from 52 countries will participate in the conference. The delegates include 12 members of parliament from 8 countries, presidential advisors from 2 countries, an advisor to a vice-president of one country, former Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, former ambassadors from 2 countries, 24 professors from 23 renowned universities in 17 countries, 14 active Azerbaijani diaspora members, founders, heads, or employees of 20 research centers and academies from 17 countries, heads or experts from 12 international research institutions across 11 countries, members of three government councils representing three countries, 8 lawyers and human rights defenders from 8 countries, a movement leader, officials from various national parliaments, journalists and businessmen,” Ulviyya Zulfikar emphasized.
